YDA works to enhance the role of women socially and economically through training, awareness, and opportunities for income generation.
Program Components
• Vocational Training for Women
Skill-based training in food processing, agricultural product preservation, fruit carving, crafts, and homemade value-added goods.
• Economic Empowerment
Women learn income-generation methods, pricing, marketing, and developing micro-business ideas.
• Social Integration & Confidence-Building
Programs help women build self-esteem, strengthen their influence in family and community settings, and participate in public life.
• Maternal & Child Health Awareness
Sessions led by medical experts cover nutrition, pregnancy health, breastfeeding, newborn care, and women’s well-being.
Example:
“DORIK – Empowering Women” (EU & British Council) – a 4-month program that enhanced women’s skills in manufacturing products and strengthened their social role in Deir Nbouh.
